With all the changes that have happened in the past several months around the world, it’s hard to imagine a pre-COVID-19 workplace (it seems so long ago now doesn’t it!). Many businesses have embraced the changes required to do business in a world where COVID-19 is an ever-present threat whilst other businesses are struggling to catch up.

Across the globe in recent months, we’ve seen a huge spike in online services like Zoom, Netflix and Spotify. With online services becoming more popular, online learning has seen a large increase in market interest and user uptake in recent months also.

Like many businesses, we’re moving some of our services to an online platform. This change, whilst it may take some getting used to by some customers, has seen many of our clients not only save time but money as well. We have a system that has been running for over 10yrs and tested and proven during the types of events we've seen in the past 12 months.

As you’re no doubt aware, many businesses throughout Australia are required to go through mandatory fire safety training. Typically this will involve a trainer physically coming to your premises and conducting the training. This may take one or multiple annual visits depending on how many staff and buildings you have along with the availability of staff to be present for the training.

How our online fire safety training will save you time & money

We understand that before businesses change to a new system or implement a new type of training into their schedules, they want to see the benefits – not only to their staff but also to their bottom line. Here’s a rundown of how our online fire safety training will save you time and money.

Keep Digital Records
We all know that paper records get lost, filed incorrectly or get moved around and lost. Keeping a log or paper record of your fire training just doesn’t make sense in today’s digital world. By moving your fire safety training records online not only will you be able to easily search and find when training was conducted, but you will also save time doing it.

Keep a database of assessment scores
Need to quickly find out who has completed fire safety training and what their assessment score is? With our cloud-based system, you can log into your control panel to gather and report on all sorts of data related to your building and fire safety training.

Training pertains to your building
By moving your training and testing online, occupants will only need to be trained on the details appropriate to the particulars of their building. This cuts down on superfluous elements of the training and will typically only take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete as part of a new staff member’s onboarding.

Keep your workers safe in the workplace
Believe it or not, cloud-based training shows a spike in voluntary assessments taken by staff and occupants ahead of a drill. This means that people are more likely to be up to date with their training and better understand evacuation points and procedures along with knowing where fire equipment is installed and how to use it.

Stay up to date with your legislative requirements
If you’ve made changes to your workplace such as refurbishments, building changes or an increase in temporary contractors, your emergency plans must be reviewed as per the Safe Work Australia’s Emergency Plan Fact sheet. Our partnership with Locatrix and their Plansafe products means you will always be up to date with your legislative requirements without wasting time with half-day induction workshops with low engagement.
